About the role
We are seeking an experienced Ab Initio Developer to design, develop, and optimize enterpriselevel data integration and ETL solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Ab Initio components, data processing frameworks, and performance tuning.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using Ab Initio GDE.
- Work with components such as Graphs, Plans, PDL, Conduct> IT, etc.
- Develop high-performance data integration solutions for large datasets.
- Analyse business requirements and convert them into scalable ETL designs.
- Perform performance tuning, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Implement data quality rules, validations, and error-handling mechanisms.
- Collaborate with data architects, business analysts, and QA teams.
- Participate in code reviews and enforce best practices.
- Work with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, etc. ).
Requirements:
- Strong hands-on experience with Ab Initio GDE, Co> Op, Conduct> IT.
- Good understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data warehousing, and data modelling.
- Proficiency in SQL and working with large-scale datasets.
- Experience in performance tuning and optimisation of Ab Initio graphs.
- Solid understanding of batch processing and parallel processing concepts.
- Experience with Ab Initio ACE, Metadata Hub, Express> IT.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) for data engineering.
- Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting.
- Understanding of CI/CD and version control tools (Git, Bitbucket).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced and dynamic environments.
