About the role
- • Plan and execute end-to-end procurement of raw materials, consumables, spare parts, and capital items to support uninterrupted foundry operations.
- • Identify, develop, and manage vendors — including periodic audits, performance reviews, price negotiations, and rate contract finalization.
- • Coordinate with production, maintenance, and quality teams for material requirements planning and timely delivery.
- • Maintain procurement MIS — cost analysis, price variance tracking, on-time delivery metrics
- • Create, supervise, and guide a team of junior purchase executives to achieve the above
- • B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
- • Minimum 10 years of experience in purchase / procurement roles in a foundry, casting, or heavy engineering manufacturing environment.
- • Sound knowledge of procurement of foundry raw materials
- • Prior exposure to Indian Railways procurement norms is preferred
