About the role
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (Master's or PhD preferred).
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering, with significant exposure to ML systems.
- Strong proficiency in Python and solid computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, system design).
- Proven experience building and deploying production-grade ML systems at scale.
- Ability to identify patterns and create reusable solutions/assets.
- Hands-on experience with Generative AI / LLM-based systems.
- Deep understanding of machine learning concepts (optimisation, statistics, linear algebra).
- Experience with RAG architectures, vector databases, embeddings, and retrieval systems; experience evaluating models using OpenAI, Anthropic, and Gemini ecosystems.
- Understanding of computer vision techniques such as object detection and semantic or instance segmentation.
- Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow/Keras).
- Familiarity with MLOps practices (CI/CD for ML, model versioning, monitoring, drift detection).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and distributed computing frameworks (Spark, Ray, etc. )
- Ability to write clean, modular, and reusable code.
- Contributions to open-source, research publications, or patents (a strong plus).
- Experience reading or implementing research papers.
- Strong ownership mindset with a bias toward action and execution.
- Experience influencing technical direction and mentoring engineers.
