Analytics Engineer / Data Analytics Consultant – Alteryx to KNIME Migration

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Analytics Engineer to lead and support the migration of existing Alteryx workflows to the KNIME Analytics Platform and KNIME Analytics Hub. The role involves redesigning, optimizing, and operationalizing analytics workflows while ensuring performance, scalability, and governance in the KNIME ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and document existing Alteryx workflows, macros, and schedules
• Design and rebuild equivalent workflows in KNIME Analytics Platform
• Optimize workflows for performance, reusability, and maintainability
• Deploy, schedule, and manage workflows using KNIME Analytics Hub / Business Hub
• Ensure proper workflow versioning, access control, and governance
• Validate migrated workflows to ensure functional parity and data accuracy
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders
• Create technical documentation and migration playbooks
• Provide user training and best-practice guidance for KNIME adoption
• Troubleshoot workflow failures and performance issues

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Alteryx Designer (complex workflows, macros, scheduling)
• Strong hands-on experience with KNIME Analytics Platform
• Experience working with KNIME Analytics Hub / Business Hub
• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT concepts
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, etc.)
• Experience with data blending, transformation, and automation
• Familiarity with Python and/or R within analytics workflows
• Understanding of workflow orchestration, scheduling, and access control
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Knowledge of CI/CD for analytics workflows
• Experience migrating analytics platforms or tools
• KNIME or Alteryx certifications
• Experience with REST APIs and external data integrations

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

• 4–10+ years in data analytics, data engineering, or analytics platform development
• Proven experience in Alteryx to KNIME migration projects preferred
