About the role
Uses skills and knowledge of Workload Automation /Batch applications to plan and coordinate the
activities related to running Production/QA/Development environments.
Works with the Development and Business Systems teams to implement complex Workload
Automation/Batch application maintenance type enhancements
Look for improvement opportunities and areas for automation, including writing scripts to facilitate
consistent and repeatable execution of recurring batch processes.
Identify opportunities for training to assist in developing Operations Center colleagues in their nightly
batch monitoring and overall knowledge.
Create, update and maintain batch schedule documentation to support efficient operational and audit
requirements.
Provide Level 2 troubleshooting of business applications and software - including problem analysis, as well
as support for complex production systems and applications, ensuring availability for all users.
Provide expert knowledge of the applications used by the Operations Center to facilitate performance
improvements.
Maintains Workload Automation/Batch Metrics for enterprise monitoring.
Basic to advance knowledge and troubleshoot TCP/IP routing, basic network principles.
Basic to advanced knowledge of SQL and SQL queries
Prepare and complete audit requests for batch applications and schedules to demonstrate compliance.
Mentor and assist in training Computer Operators on established procedures where needed.
Provides 24-hour on-call support for problem analysis and resolution to system problems on a rotational
