Role: Java Application Architect - L7

Location: Navi Mumbai

Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Java Application Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise applications. The candidate will be responsible for defining application architecture, driving technology strategy, establishing development standards, and mentoring engineering teams to deliver business-critical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Design

• Define end-to-end application architecture for enterprise-grade Java applications.
• Design scalable, cloud-native, and microservices-based solutions.
• Establish architecture standards, frameworks, design patterns, and best practices.
• Drive API-first, event-driven, and domain-driven architecture approaches.
• Conduct architecture reviews and ensure adherence to enterprise standards.

Technology Leadership

• Lead technical solutioning for complex business requirements.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, business stakeholders, and delivery teams.
• Define application modernization and cloud transformation roadmaps.
• Ensure non-functional requirements such as scalability, performance, resilience, and security are addressed.

Delivery Governance

• Guide development teams through design, development, testing, and deployment activities.
• Perform design reviews, code reviews, and technical risk assessments.
• Support CI/CD implementation and DevSecOps practices.
• Troubleshoot critical production issues and provide root cause analysis.

Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with clients, product owners, and business leaders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Present architecture proposals, solution options, and trade-off analyses.
• Participate in governance forums and architecture review boards.

Mentorship & Capability Building

• Mentor architects, technical leads, and developers.
• Promote engineering excellence and knowledge-sharing culture.
• Develop reusable frameworks, accelerators, and architecture assets.

• Strong expertise in Core Java (Java 17/21 preferred)
• Spring Boot, Spring Cloud
• Microservices Architecture
• REST APIs, OpenAPI, GraphQL
• Event-driven architecture using Kafka/RabbitMQ
• Design Patterns and SOLID principles
• JPA/Hibernate
• Application Security (OAuth2, JWT, SAML, OWASP)
• SQL and NoSQL databases
• Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift
• Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
