Assistant Engineer – I, Mould Maintenance (Injection Moulding) - chennai

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position                     : Assistant Engineer – I, Mould Maintenance (Injection Moulding)

Experience                : 4 to 8 years

Salary                        : 3 - 4 lacs / annum

Working days            : 6 days a week in rotational shift

Work Location            : Chennai

Key Responsibilities:

·        Responsible for the smooth function of the injection moulding unit machines, Moulds and any utilities related to the Injection molding unit.

·        Responsible to trouble shoot and provide necessary actions in case of any issues with respect to machines, moulds etc.

·        Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on all equipment in the Injection Tooling & Machine Unit repairing and replacing parts as necessary.

·        Troubleshoot, repair or replace all components of mould. This includes all electrical equipment, hydraulics, mechanical, piping, pumps, and pneumatics in the Mold Department.

·        Knowledge on production process in injection moulding

Requirements:

·        Qualification 

Diploma in Tool & Die Making / CIPET / GTTC / NTTF with 4~8 years relevant experience in Auto component Industries, preferably in Plastic component manufacturing industries.

·        Skills              

·        Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

·        Basic knowledge in pneumatics, hydraulics and machining.

·        Sound knowledge and systematic approach of Machine and Fixtures troubleshooting.

·        Basic machining ability in lathe, turning, grinding, tool & die making and milling.

·        Good working knowledge in Root causes analysis using “Why - Why “Technique.

·        Capable to Trouble shoot Robotic Arm Mechanical, Electrical & Program Issues

·        Capable of trouble shooting machineries on his own.                 

·        70 % moulding and 30 % stamping exposure in overall experience.

·        Shall have good communication skills

Important Note

1. Should be from NTTF or CIPET 
2. Hands on experience in mould with smaller dimension or micro components.
3. Should have worked in Mold Manufacturer companies either in assembly or Mold Trouble shooting Division
4. Should have Minimal experience in Handling Demag Machine 
5. Experience 2 to 3 Years in Mold Maintenance or Mold Correction Division as Technician Level
6. Should have handled 2K Mold with Different Materials is very much preferred
