About the role

Key Responsibilities:

Managing end-to-end compliances under GST- preparation / reviewing tax computations and periodic GST returns
Effectively understanding & responding to regular Indirect Tax queries of clients
Assisting seniors in litigation matters of clients including drafting replies to show cause notices, drafting appeals, attending personal hearing, representing the client before authorities, etc.
Preparation and filing of GST refund/ SEIS/ MEIS applications
Managing GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C assignments including planning of the assignments
Managing IDT due diligence/ reviewing assignments
Managing multiple clients and being SPOC ensuring regular communication and interaction with on-going assignments and new developments
Developing and maintaining relationship with clients
Preparing proposals and pitch presentations
Assisting managers with respect to MIS preparation and tracking billings and receivables
Regular review of deliverables and taking responsibility over timelines and quality of deliverables
Researching on various critical litigative issue and conducting regular technical trainings/ knowledge sharing sessions within team
Ensuring that regular updates are sent to clients covering the detailed analysis of the impact
Supporting managers in article writing
Mentoring/ guiding consultants and trainees of the team

Qualifications:

Education: CA/ LLB with relevant exposure in Indirect Tax
3-5 years of post-qualification experience in GST and Customs including FTP, Service Tax, Central Excise, VAT/ CST
Working knowledge of GST Portal
Possess in-depth knowledge of Indirect Tax laws including FTP
Experience in regular compliances along with advisory and litigation

Skills and Competencies:

Good communication skills (Verbal & Written)
Client facing experience with ability to build good relationship with them
Leadership and people management skills
Strong MS Excel skills, along with good working knowledge of other MS Office programs
