About the role
- Support the Director in coordinating School-wide priorities and initiatives, working with departments, centres, faculty, staff, and University teams to move projects forward.
- Provide secretarial support to School leadership, including scheduling, meeting coordination, correspondence, documentation, and follow-ups.
- Manage School events, conferences, and workshops end to end, from planning through execution.
- Coordinate across teams and stakeholders on interdisciplinary and cross-School projects, help develop systems, processes, and resources as the School grows, and assist with research, planning, and implementation of new ideas.
- Support internal and external communications, including event announcements, newsletters, website updates, social media inputs, and presentations, in coordination with University communications and design teams.
- Maintain project trackers, calendars, databases, and up-to-date records of School activities, programmes, faculty, and centres.
- Prepare periodic updates, reports, and presentations for School leadership, develop materials for internal, external, and donor-facing engagements, and track programme budgets and expenditure with the relevant University teams.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- Experience: At least 2 years of relevant work experience; experience in education, higher education, programmes, cultural institutions, or nonprofits is an advantage. Prior experience at Ashoka or in higher education is preferred; we also welcome applicants from other sectors.
- Technical: Strong written and verbal communication skills; good working knowledge of standard productivity and presentation tools.
- You take a task from initial idea to completion on your own, tracking timelines and follow-ups until nothing is left open.
- You move comfortably between faculty, departments, centres, students, and University teams, keeping many people aligned on shared School projects.
- You are curious and open to new ideas and ways of working, and enjoy helping build systems as the School grows.
- You are happy to be the go-to person for the School, stepping in wherever needed across events, communications, and operations.
