Associate Staff Web Developer

As part of the Zurich Edge team, you will contribute to the development of an end-to-end digital-native insurance platform that enables new distribution models. This platform is designed to support high levels of automation and straight-through processing across the entire insurance value chain.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a deep understanding of business requirements and build scalable, high-quality web applications.
• Design and develop responsive user interfaces using HTML5 CSS3 and Vanilla JavaScript.
• Build modern web applications using Next.js or React.js .
• Integrate frontend applications with backend services using REST APIs and JSON.
• Implement efficient state management for web applications.
• Develop and execute unit tests (Jest) and support integration testing.
• Deploy applications across multiple environments.
• Perform troubleshooting, debugging, and defect analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate frontend applications with backend services.
• Develop reusable UI components and shared functions.
• Maintain clean, well-documented, and secure code.
• Support AWS CI/CD processes, including configuration management, automated builds, and unit testing.
• Participate in occasional travel, as required.

The core requirements for the job include the following:

Technical Skills:

• Experience developing applications using Next.js or React.js .
• Strong experience with State Management.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs and JSON.

Extensive knowledge of:

• HTML5
• CSS3
• JavaScript (Vanilla JS)
• Experience with Application Security.
• Experience in Financial Services and/or Insurance is highly preferred.

Experience with:

• Jest
• Jira
• GitHub
• SonarQube (Preferred)
• Familiarity with AWS CI/CD processes is an advantage.
