An Automation Test Engineer (Java) is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure software quality. The role focuses on using Java-based automation tools like Selenium, TestNG, and frameworks to test web applications efficiently.
- Design and develop automation test scripts using Java and Selenium WebDriver.
- Create and maintain test automation frameworks (POM, Hybrid, Data-driven).
- Analyze functional requirements and test scenarios.
- Execute automated test cases and analyze test results.
- Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams.
- Integrate automation tests with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git).
- Perform regression, smoke, and functional testing.
- Maintain and improve existing automation scripts.
