About the role
Primary Skills-· 5 years of experience in automating various GUI/non-GUI-based applications using Selenium WebDriver and Java language· Experience in at least one project implementing BDD (behavior-driven development) using Cucumber/Jbehave and CI (continuous integration) using Jenkins· Experience in GIT, Bitbucket, Maven· Experience in testing backend application components like SQL Server, Oracle database, middleware message queues(IBM MQ) · Extensive experience in test automation framework design, development, and enhancement for at least 2 projects. · Hands-on Experience in writing SQL queries· Well-versed with data-driven Test Automation using MS Excel / XML / Database driven Tests· Must have hands-on experience in writing scenarios and test cases from requirements & user stories· Understand data structure, data interfaces, and how data flows and transforms from source systems to the downstream systems· Understand the functionality + Technology and be able to adapt into a techno-functional automation tester role· Excellent communication skills – within and outside of the organization, across teams, with customers – both horizontally and vertically, is important.· A good team player and ready to take up additional responsibilities when required.
Secondary Skills List· Experience in working with global delivery models, leveraging cross-location distributed teams · Knowledge of current industry-wide Quality & Test processes and practices, Tools, and techniques · Experience in Test Management Tools like HP ALM / JIRA. Responsibilities:- · Exposure to popular test models in the market - Agile, V-Model, Waterfall approach · Understand customer testing needs - current processes as well as future requirements around testing· Is responsible for test scenarios & test case formulation and test data preparation· Is responsible for all test automation-related activities right from test automation framework design, development, implementation + automation planning & execution· Is responsible for tracking Defect triage & closure · Is technically responsible for all the Testing performed by the Testing Organization· Is responsible for the overall Quality of deliverables across all parameters, both functional and non-functional including performance, security, usability, etc.· Is responsible for ensuring the Test Frameworks & methodologies as recommended by the Test Architect / Test Lead are implemented in the project
