About the role
Responsibilities:
- Architect, design, and develop highly scalable, low-latency backend systems.
- Build and maintain RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs for large-scale applications.
- Drive system design discussions, including trade-offs, scalability, and performance optimisation.
- Write clean, testable, and production-ready code with high coverage.
- Own services end-to-end from design to deployment and monitoring.
- Optimise applications for maximum throughput, reliability, and performance.
- Implement and enforce security, data protection, and compliance standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with frontend, DevOps, product, and QA teams.
Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience in backend development.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following: Java (Spring Boot / Hibernate), Python (Django / Flask / FastAPI), Node.js (Express.js / NestJS).
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development.
- Experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
- Understanding of containerization tools like Docker is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
