About the role

About us:
Swift is building a next generation checkout and fulfillment service for India - a platform rolling up payments and logistics solution for all fulfillment needs. We are a young, Kalaari backed start-up that believes that there are many things a brand has to worry about when selling online, logistics/payments etc. shouldn't be one of them. With our solution, SMBs and D2C brands get access to technologies and services like one-tap checkout, payment processing, Order Management, pan India shipping, warehousing, returns management, e-commerce intelligence and much more. We want to be the #1 ecommerce stack that’s reliable, easy to use and affordable.
About the Role
  • We are looking for a Manager – Business Finance to become the finance partner to Swift’s leadership and operating teams.
  • As the first dedicated hire in business finance, you will build visibility into the company’s financial performance, strengthen planning and review processes, and turn operational and financial data into decisions. You will work closely with the Founder’s Office, Accounting, Revenue Management, Sales and Account Management, and Operations teams.
  • This is a hands-on role for someone who can move comfortably between financial models, operating data and cross-functional execution.

What you will own
● Build and maintain management reporting covering revenue, gross margin, costs, cash flow, expenses, and working capital. ● Analyse profitability by seller, courier partner, product, service type and other relevant operating dimensions. ● Partner with business teams on seller receivables and collections, vendor payables, pricing and other decisions affecting cash flow and unit economics ● Work with accounting, revenue and operations functions to improve reconciliations, month-end reporting, financial controls and audit readiness. ● Drive cross-functional initiatives that improve profitability, cash conversion and financial discipline. ● Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts and scenario planning; track actual performance against plans and explain key variances. ● Build short- and medium-term cash-flow forecasts and improve visibility into seller receivables, collections, courier payables and payout requirements. ● Establish a regular business-review cadence and present clear insights, risks and recommendations to senior leadership.
What success looks like
Within the first six months, you will have: ● Established a reliable management-information and business-review cadence. ● Establish and run effective processes for revenue realisation and payable planning ● Created clear visibility into seller- and courier-level profitability. ● Improved cash-flow forecasting and collections/payout planning. ● Identified and implemented high-impact margin and process improvements. ● Built trusted working relationships across finance, operations, sales and leadership.
What we are looking for
● 2–3 years of experience in business finance, FP&A, commercial finance, finance analytics, audit, transaction advisory or a comparable role. ● Strong understanding of financial statements, unit economics, working capital, budgeting and variance analysis. ● Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets and financial modelling. ● Ability to work with large datasets, identify inconsistencies and convert analysis into practical recommendations. ● Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to influence senior and cross-functional stakeholders. ● High ownership, attention to detail and comfort operating in a fast-moving environment. ● CA, MBA Finance or a comparable qualification  is preferred; strong relevant experience may substitute for a formal qualification.
Good to have
● Experience in logistics, ecommerce, marketplaces, fintech or another transaction-intensive business. ● Working knowledge of SQL and BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Looker Studio. ● Experience with finance automation, commercial reconciliations or revenue-assurance processes.
Why join Swift
You will have the opportunity to build the business-finance function from the ground up and directly influence how Swift manages growth, profitability and cash flow.
