Position details
Experienced Business Intelligence Platform Administrator for Enterprise Data Services Application Resiliency team which supports Run the Bank and Fix the Bank use cases. The team is responsible to maintain security and soundness of the Business Intelligence platform by ensuring applications are designed to meet non-functional requirements such as be operability, reliability, maintainability, and performance with minimal administration and production downtime. Provide Level 3 support, keep the Business Intelligence platforms healthy and operating at low cost with high efficiency, and keep the systems compliant with the Bank's policy and governance framework. The successful candidate utilizes a combination of technologies including SAP Business Objects, Salesforce Tableau, Windows and Unix operating systems. The candidate is also expected to help operationalize new technical capabilities and evolve maturity of our platforms while improving the processes.
Roles and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include the following:
- Business Intelligence platforms Administration including installation, migration, upgrade of Servers and Desktops under High Availability scenario, and ensuring compliance with technology standards and controls.
· Build automation for tasks like deployment of data-sources/workbooks across environment, alerts via scripting.
· Monitor Business Intelligence services, extract refresh, schedules, subscriptions, and alerts and take remediation actions like run cleanup and create backups of the database, restore services.
- Perform performance diagnosis and optimization. Be able to analyze system resource utilization, bottlenecks, and plan platform capacity sizing.
- Production support includes Infrastructure-related issues, performance issues, upstream data, Incident tickets, problem tickets, and Change Management tickets.
- Remediations: Matter Requiring Attention, Policy Variance, Exception, Finding, and Vulnerability
- Internal System record maintenance (required system documents, server maintenance, software licenses, capacity planning, technology inventory)
- Disaster Recovery planning and testing
- Service account maintenance (addressing system identified breaks, vaulting existing service accounts on 90 day and 365-day policy)
- Interpret and react to daily health reports generated for the system.
Job Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems or a related field or the equivalent. Experience in the financial services or banking industry is preferred.
· 5+ years of Hands-on experience administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, debugging, and configuring Salesforce Tableau.
· 5+ years of Hands-on experience administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, debugging, and configuring SAP Business Objects
· 2+ years of Windows and/or Unix shell scripting.
· 2+ years of experience in using Enterprise schedulers like Autosys.
· 2+ years of experience with cloud architectures preferably AWS.
· 3+ years of experience in troubleshooting production issues and providing root cause analysis.
· Experience on Tableau/PowerBI/Business objects Administration including Install and upgrade in a distributed enterprise environment.
· Experience with automation for tasks such as deployment of data-sources and workbooks across environments, alerts via scripting, and working knowledge of version control is preferred.
· Advanced knowledge of performance diagnostic and optimization ability to analyze system resource utilization, bottleneck using utilities such as TabMon, PerfMon, LogShark, VizAlerts, TabMigrate, additional familiarity with Splunk.
· Excellent understanding of Active Directory, DNS, Load Balancer and Network firewall
· Experience configuring Single Sign-on (SSO) with SAML authentication for BI tool.
