About the role
• Analyze and optimize component and vehicle-level durability performance using CAE simulation tools
• Predict, evaluate, and manage the structural and fatigue performance of transmission and driveline components/systems
• Build and refine FE models — including pre-processing, meshing, solution setup, and post-processing/result interpretation
• Define accurate load cases and boundary conditions using road load data, customer usage profiles, and duty cycles
• Conduct fatigue life prediction, structural analysis, and reliability assessments to validate design robustness
• Support root cause investigations and failure analysis for durability-related field/test issues, driving corrective actions
• Collaborate closely with durability and physical testing teams to correlate CAE predictions with rig/dynamometer test data
• Partner with design, testing, and manufacturing teams to recommend design optimizations balancing durability, weight, and cost
• Prepare clear technical reports and present analysis findings, risks, and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership
• Support design sign-off, CAE gateway reviews, and DFMEA/DVP&R activities as required
