Calypso Developer/Tesing

Senior Calypso Developer & Tester (6+ years)

Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India (Hybrid / On-site as per project)

We are looking for a seasoned professional who can both develop and test/validate solutions on the Calypso platform. The role will span from design, implementation, configuration/customisation, through to QA, automation testing, regression and production support. Strong domain knowledge in capital markets / front-office/back-office lifecycles is required.

• Design, develop, customise and deploy Calypso modules (front/middle/back office functions) including trades, workflows, messaging, engines, reports. Foundit+3Apna+3Apna+3
• Analyse business and functional requirements (trade lifecycle, assets: FX, Rates, Credit, Equities, Commodities) and translate into Calypso configuration & development. Foundit+2Adzuna+2
• Write/maintain SQL, Unix/Linux shell scripts and use Calypso APIs for integration, customisation, database work and deployment. Wells Fargo+1
• Lead and execute testing: unit testing, integration testing, system testing, regression testing, UAT; work closely with QA/automation teams. eFinancialCareers
• Create/maintain test automation scripts, use test frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, test tools (JIRA, Zephyr, Control-M/batch scheduler etc) where applicable. Adzuna+1
• Support production issues, perform root-cause analysis, performance tuning, patching/upgrades of Calypso systems. Wells Fargo+1
• Act as liaison between business, operations, development and QA teams; provide guidance/training to junior resources. Foundit+1
• Participate in agile scrum processes, code/version control, DevOps practices, and continuous improvement. Foundit+1

• Minimum 6 years of experience in Calypso development and testing roles (some overlap of both is ideal).
• Strong hands-on with Calypso platform version v16/v17 or above. Foundit
• Strong Java/J2EE skills, especially for Calypso customisations. Wells Fargo+1
• Good knowledge of SQL, databases (Oracle/SQL Server), Unix/Linux operating systems. Apna+1
• Capital markets domain knowledge: trade lifecycle for FX, Rates, Commodities, Credit, Equities; front office, middle office, back office operations. Foundit
• Experience in QA/testing: test planning, automation, scripting, defect management, traceability, test frameworks. Adzuna+1
• Familiarity with version control (Git, SVN), build/deployment (Gradle, Maven, Jenkins, etc) is a plus. Foundit+1
• Good stakeholder management, documentation, communication and estimation skills.

• Experience with Calypso modules: ERS, SIMM, Collateral, Pricer Measures, Workbench, Dashboard. Foundit

• Exposure to DevOps, cloud/container technologies (Kubernetes, Openshift), messaging frameworks, APIs. Wells Fargo
• Experience working in global teams (onshore/offshore), agile scaled environment (SAFe) and hybrid model.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Able to work in Bengaluru location (commute/hybrid) and willing to travel/off-hours support if required.
