About the role
Job Description:
The AWS Cloud Architect – Public Cloud is responsible for designing, implementing, and governing enterprise-grade public cloud infrastructure platforms/Landing Zone services. This role focuses on delivering secure, scalable, resilient, and automated cloud services leveraging virtualization, compute, storage, networking, and infrastructure-as-code technologies. The architect collaborates with business, application, security, and operations teams to ensure that the public cloud platform meets organizational requirements for performance, availability, compliance, and cost optimization.
Roles and Responsibilities:
·Define and evolve the Group AWS Landing Zone architecture and strategy.
·Design scalable, secure, and compliant AWS platform services for enterprise-wide consumption.
·Design enterprise cloud guardrails, security baselines, and governance controls.
·Drive standardization of cloud services across multiple business units.
·Align Landing Zone services with banking security and regulatory requirements.
·Create reusable cloud platform patterns and blueprints for enterprise adoption.
·Produce HLD/LLD, Architecture Decision Records (ADR), Reference Architecture, Standards and best practices for the Public Cloud Platform.
·Own and lead architecture of Container services – provides by the group as Container as services in hybrid model for both AWS and Azure along with multi-cloud registry service
·Present solutions and recommendations to Architecture Review Boards (ARB)/ Design Authority.
·Participate in enterprise governance forums and cloud steering committees.
·Act as the primary cloud architecture advisor for senior leadership.
·Influence strategic cloud investment decisions.
·Partner with CIO, CTO, CISO, Risk, Compliance, and Engineering leadership.
·Communicate complex technical concepts to executive stakeholders.
Skills and Experience:
·10+ years of IT infrastructure, platform, or cloud architecture experience.
·5+ years of hands-on AWS architecture experience.
·Extensive experience designing enterprise AWS Landing Zones.
·Strong understanding of AWS Well-Architected Framework.
·Deep experience with AWS environments.
·Experience of Delivery large, scaled project required to build Landing zone services from scratch to full operational service build on everything as service platform, service customer at enterprise scale.
·Experience of working under strong Architecture Governance required to follow specific standards and process to validate designs before implemented in production
Qualification / Certification
•Bachelors/master’s degree in computer/information technology disciplines
•Good to have TOGAF/Azure/AWS cloud architect certifications.
·AWS Certified Solution Architect – Professional
·AWS Expertise in any of the technology stacks Network, Container, Security, Data, DevOps, etc.
·AWS Tech Stack – not limited but at least VPC Design, Transit Gateway, DNS Architecture, Hybrid Connectivity, Direct connect, VPN, Zero Trust Architecture, PKI, Certificate Management/HSM, WAF/DDoS Protection
