About the role
Responsibilities
- Create concept art and environment designs based on briefs, scripts, and references
- Develop final digital backgrounds that match the project's style and colour direction
- Explore mood, lighting, composition, and colour to support the story
- Build layouts and background assets that work smoothly in the animation pipeline
- Incorporate feedback from art directors and deliver revisions on schedule
- Maintain consistency across scenes and episodes
Requirements
- Strong foundation in digital illustration, with an eye for composition, perspective, colour, and lighting
- Solid background design skills, including environments, props, and architecture
- Proficiency in Photoshop.
- A portfolio that shows background or environment work; personal projects and college work are welcome
- Ability to adapt to different art styles and follow style guides
- Good communication skills and a willingness to take feedback
- Able to work from our Pune office
Good to Have
- Basic understanding of 2D animation workflows and background layout
- Experience with stylised, children's, or storybook-style animation
