Role Overview
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Consultant Pediatrician & Neonatologist to join our clinical team at Even Hospitals, Bangalore. The role involves providing comprehensive medical care to newborns, including high-risk and premature infants, as well as infants and children, ensuring timely diagnosis, effective treatment, and continuity of care.
Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive pediatric and neonatal care for newborns, infants, and children.

Manage neonatal and pediatric emergencies, including newborn resuscitation when required.

Assess and manage premature and low-birth-weight babies, neonatal jaundice, sepsis, respiratory distress, and other neonatal conditions.

Provide care for newborns in the NICU and manage critical cases within the scope of available facilities and clinical protocols.

Attend high-risk deliveries and coordinate immediate newborn care with the obstetrics team.

Conduct pediatric OPD consultations and manage inpatient cases.

Monitor children's growth, development, nutrition, and immunization needs.

Counsel parents and caregivers regarding diagnosis, treatment, feeding, newborn care, and discharge instructions.

Coordinate with obstetricians, nursing staff, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with hospital protocols, infection control practices, and patient safety standards.

Participate in clinical audits, departmental meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience

MBBS with MD/DNB in Pediatrics or an equivalent recognized postgraduate qualification.

Additional qualification or fellowship in Neonatology preferred.

Relevant experience in neonatal intensive care, newborn management, and general pediatric care preferred.

Valid medical registration with the applicable State Medical Council.

Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Work Schedule
As per hospital requirements and the mutually agreed clinical engagement model, including OPD, inpatient, NICU, and delivery-room responsibilities.
