About the role
Responsibilities:
- Solely responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of executive and operational dashboards using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server/Cloud.
- Optimise Tableau workbooks and data sources for maximum performance and fast rendering across various access methods.
- Write and optimise complex SQL queries to extract and structure data specifically for consumption in Tableau. Utilise Tableau Desktop (or similar tools) for building reports with visualisations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders in Finance and Risk to define key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to our fintech business.
- Create compelling, story-driven visualisations that communicate complex financial trends and risks simply and effectively.
- Deployment and Governance: Manage data connections, publish data sources, and administer security settings on Tableau Server to govern access and ensure data integrity.
Requirements:
- Experience: 3-5 years of focused experience, with at least 3 years dedicated to Tableau development.
- Tableau Proficiency (Mandatory): Expertise in the full suite of Tableau products.
- Demonstrated portfolio of complex, production-ready Tableau dashboards.
- Data Querying (Mandatory): Expert-level command of SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Domain Knowledge (Highly Preferred): Proven experience working with data in the Fintech, Banking, or Financial Services sectors.
- Soft Skills: Proven ability to engage with non-technical business leaders to understand their data needs and translate them into accurate, visual reports.
