About the role
Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute end-to-end data migration efforts, including planning, design, execution, validation, and post-migration support.
- Analyse legacy data structures (VSAM, DB2) and design transformation strategies into modern RDBMS and AWS environments.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and automation scripts using Python.
- Design, implement, and maintain data models (conceptual, logical, and physical).
- Manage and administer AWS RDS environments, ensuring high availability, performance optimisation, and security compliance.
- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
- Ensure adherence to data governance, data quality, and compliance standards.
- Troubleshoot data-related issues and provide timely resolution.
- Prepare technical documentation for data models, migration workflows, and architecture designs.
