About the role
- Location: Bengaluru (On-site)
- Employment type: Full-time
- Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines across transactional, behavioural, and third-party data sources
- Own data warehouse architecture and optimize for performance, cost, and reliability
- Partner with Risk, Product, and Analytics teams to define data models and ensure data quality/governance
- Build and maintain real-time and batch data pipelines (streaming + scheduled jobs)
- Set up monitoring, alerting, and data quality checks to catch pipeline failures early
- Collaborate with Data Science/ML teams to productionize models and feature pipelines
- Ensure compliance with data security and privacy standards relevant to fintech/lending
- 2–6 years of experience in data engineering
- Strong SQL and Python
- Hands-on experience with distributed data systems (Spark, Kafka, or similar)
- Experience with cloud data warehouses GCC and orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt)
- Solid understanding of data modelling, schema design, and pipeline optimization
- Experience with GCP/Azure data stack
- Fintech/lending domain experience
- Exposure to real-time streaming architectures
- Experience with data governance/compliance in regulated environments
- Ownership of core data infrastructure at a fast-scaling fintech
- Direct collaboration with founders and cross-functional leads
