About the role
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with strong expertise in Python and SQL to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure reliable, high-quality data availability for analytics and reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
- Write efficient SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Develop Python scripts for automation, data processing, and integration tasks.
- Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements.
- Implement data quality checks and monitoring systems.
- Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for data storage and processing.
- Maintain documentation for data workflows and architecture.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, PySpark preferred).
- Advanced SQL skills (joins, window functions, indexing, query optimization).
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.).
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, etc.).
- Knowledge of ETL tools (Airflow, dbt, Talend, etc.).
- Understanding of data modeling and schema design.
- Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with big data frameworks (Spark, Hadoop).
