As a Consultant Dental Assistant, you willplay a critical role in assisting with dental procedures, managing patient documentation, andensuring the operatory is prepared and maintained to the highest standards.Key Responsibilities:● Dental Instruments Knowledge:○ Proficient in identifying and handling various dental instruments.○ Ensure all instruments are properly cleaned, sterilized, and arranged for use.● Sterilization Process:○ Adhere to strict sterilization protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment.○ Monitor and record the sterilization process and equipment maintenance.● Patient Documentation & Care:○ Accurately document patient information, treatment plans, and updates.○ Provide compassionate care and support to patients before, during, and afterprocedures.
● Assist in Dental Procedures:○ Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.○ Ensure patients are comfortable and prepared for their treatment.○ Hand instruments and materials to the dentist during procedures.● Operatory Arrangement:○ Prepare the operatory before each patient visit by setting up the necessaryinstruments and materials.○ Ensure the operatory is clean and organized at all times.○ Manage dental supplies and inventory to ensure availability for procedures.
Qualifications:● Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role.● Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization techniques, and dental procedures.● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.● Excellent communication and patient care skills.● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.● Proficiency in dental software and patient management systems is a plus.
