Role SummaryResponsible for the operation and maintenance of electrical systems to ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted plant operations. The role focuses on preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of HT/LT systems, motors, control panels, and instrumentation supporting lime calcination processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain HT/LT panels, transformers, motors, MCCs, VFDs, and power distribution systems to ensure reliable plant operations.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment and troubleshoot faults in kilns, grinding units, and material handling systems.
- Conduct insulation resistance testing, thermography of panels and cables, and troubleshoot control circuit issues to minimise plant downtime.
- Ensure proper functioning and calibration of load cells, temperature sensors, pressure transmitters, and flow meters, while supporting automation and control system reliability.
- Coordinate with mechanical and production teams for routine maintenance, shutdown planning, installation, commissioning, and upgradation of electrical systems.
- Maintain electrical maintenance logs, spares inventory, and ensure timely procurement of critical components.
- Implement electrical safety measures and ensure compliance with applicable statutory requirements.
- B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- 6–8 years of experience in lime or cement manufacturing plants.
- Hands-on experience in maintenance of HT/LT systems, motors, starters, transformers, and VFDs.
