Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with hands-on experience in Creo Parametric and strong knowledge of Sheet Metal, Casting, and/or Plastic components. The candidate will be responsible for creating and modifying 3D models, developing detailed manufacturing drawings, and supporting product development activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and modify 3D mechanical models using Creo Parametric.
- Create detailed 2D manufacturing drawings with GD&T, tolerances, and appropriate design standards.
- Design and develop components using Sheet Metal, Casting, and/or Plastic manufacturing processes.
- Understand manufacturing feasibility, DFM/DFA, and component manufacturability.
- Perform design changes, engineering modifications, and drawing updates.
- Work closely with manufacturing, suppliers, quality, and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Review designs for functionality, manufacturability, cost, and quality.
- Maintain design documentation and engineering change records.
- Participate in design reviews and resolve technical/design issues.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in Creo Parametric.
- Good understanding of mechanical product design and development.
- Experience in one or more of the following:
- Sheet Metal Design
- Casting Design
- Plastic Component Design
- Good knowledge of GD&T, tolerancing, and engineering drawings.
- Understanding manufacturing processes and DFM principles.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Experience in industrial products, electrical equipment, enclosures, or similar engineering products.
- Knowledge of engineering standards and material selection.
- Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams.
