About the role
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in packaging machine design to join our engineering team in Pune. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Creo (preferably Creo Elements Direct) and be capable of independently handling mechanical design activities from concept development to detailed engineering and manufacturing drawings. The role involves working closely with customers, supporting engineering activities, and driving process improvements.
Key Responsibilities- Create and maintain 2D engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.
- Design and develop format parts for packaging machines.
- Perform engineering checks and design validations.
- Develop basic engineering concepts and mechanical solutions.
- Independently execute complete mechanical design activities from concept to release.
- Manage engineering deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings.
- Review and improve existing designs for performance, manufacturability, and cost.
- Prepare work instructions, SOPs, and support process improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with customers and cross-functional teams to ensure timely project execution.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and engineering best practices.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
6–8 years of experience in machine design.
Minimum 3–4 years of experience in the packaging machinery industry.
Experience in powder or liquid packaging machines is highly preferred.
