About the role
The candidate will have responsibilities across the following functions:
CI/CD and Release Engineering:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using Harness and other DevOps toolchains.
- Automate application build, test, deployment, and rollback processes.
- Improve release quality through automation and governance controls.
- Implement deployment strategies such as Blue-Green, Canary, and Rolling Deployments.
Infrastructure Automation:
- Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and automation frameworks.
- Automate server provisioning, configuration management, and patching activities.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code practices and drive environment consistency.
Platform Engineering:
- Support cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Build reusable deployment templates and self-service DevOps capabilities.
- Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to standardise DevOps processes.
API Integration and Automation:
- Develop automation solutions leveraging REST APIs.
- Integrate DevOps platforms with source control systems, ticketing tools, monitoring solutions, and cloud services.
- Troubleshoot API integrations and optimise automation workflows.
Monitoring and Reliability:
- Implement deployment monitoring and observability practices.
- Analyse failures, identify root causes, and automate remediation wherever possible.
- Ensure platform availability, reliability, and security compliance.
Collaboration and Leadership:
- Partner with development, QA, security, and operations teams to streamline software delivery.
- Mentor junior DevOps engineers and drive DevOps best practices.
- Participate in architecture reviews and technical governance discussions.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
Nice to Have:
- Harness Certified Developer/Administrator.
- Red Hat Ansible Certification.
- Cloud Certifications (GCP).
- Kubernetes Certification (CKA/CKAD).
- Experience with Security and DevSecOps practices.
