About the role
Grant Thornton is building a world-class Finance & Accounting organization to power decisions, performance, and growth across an increasingly global business. As Director, Head of Offshore FP&A, you will lead the firm’s offshore FP&A center in Bangalore end to end – owning the quality, timeliness, and insight of the planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis delivered to onshore finance leadership.
You will partner with the Head of FP&A to scale the offshore team from reporting delivery into true decision support – running offshore delivery of the annual budget, forecasts, producing management and executive reporting, and building the models, data, and processes that give leadership one consistent view of performance across service lines, markets, and entities.
This is a high-visibility leadership role with direct exposure to the Head of FP&A, onshore FP&A and business finance leaders, and the Office of the CFO. You will be the single point of accountability for offshore FP&A performance, quality, and growth, and the trusted offshore counterpart to onshore finance leadership as the combined platform scales.

Key ResponsibilitiesOffshore Team Leadership & Service Delivery
•Lead, motivate, and grow the offshore FP&A team – managers, team leads, financial analysts, and reporting and planning-systems specialists – setting team structure, roles, capacity plans, and succession plans, and driving hiring decisions in partnership with HR.
•Own performance management, goal setting, coaching, and career development; build a culture of accountability, commercial curiosity, continuous learning, and inclusion, and identify and develop future leaders with cross-training and coverage for critical planning and reporting cycles.
•Act as the primary offshore counterpart to the Head of FP&A and onshore finance leadership – defining and managing SLAs and KPIs, running regular governance and performance reviews, managing escalations, and communicating clearly across time zones.
Planning, Forecasting & Management Reporting
•Run offshore delivery of the annual budget and forecasts – data collection, consolidation, model maintenance, and version control – and own the offshore planning calendar so submissions and reviews are accurate and on time.
•Build and maintain driver-based models for professional services economics, including headcount, utilization, bill rates, realization, pricing, compensation, and overhead, and support scenario planning and sensitivity analysis for acquisitions, new service lines, and major investments.
•Deliver monthly and quarterly management reporting packs, KPI dashboards, and executive and Board reporting inputs, with budget-versus-actual and forecast variance analysis and clear commentary reviewed before onshore sign-off.
Analysis, Data & Transformation
•Analyze performance by service line, market, client, and entity – margin, utilization, working capital, and cash drivers – and provide onshore leadership with insight on trends, risks, and opportunities.
•Own the integrity of planning and reporting data, including reconciliation to actuals, master data, hierarchies, and allocations; serve as offshore owner for enterprise planning and BI platforms (e.g., Anaplan, OneStream, Adaptive, Power BI) and maintain SOPs, model documentation, and review controls.
•Lead transitions of FP&A processes from onshore to offshore – including integrating acquired entities into the planning and reporting framework – and deliver standardization, automation, and self-service reporting that improve cost, quality, cycle time, and forecast accuracy as the platform scales.
