DM / Manager – Plastic Product Design

We are looking for an experienced DM / Manager – Plastic Product Design to lead and execute product design activities for Rigid Plastic Packaging (RPP) products. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in 3D product and mold design using PTC Creo/ProE, along with a sound understanding of plastic molding processes, tooling, and manufacturability.

• Develop 3D product models and detailed designs for plastic products using PTC Creo/ProE.
• Execute hands-on designing of Rigid Plastic Packaging (RPP) products in line with customer requirements, market needs, and industry trends.
• Conduct mold feasibility analysis, considering manufacturability, tooling requirements, molding constraints, and product functionality.
• Develop innovative product concepts and ideation designs for new RPP products.
• Prepare detailed drawings, design specifications, and documentation for product development and manufacturing.
• Collaborate closely with Tooling, R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and other cross- functional teams for design validation and execution.
• Support prototype development, design trials, and product validation activities.
• Identify and implement design improvements to enhance product performance, manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and design efficiency.
• Provide technical inputs for resolving design and tooling-related issues during product development and manufacturing.
• Manage multiple design assignments and ensure timely completion as per project requirements.

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or relevant specialization.
• NTTF – Tool Design / Mechanical or equivalent qualification will also be considered.
• Overall experience: 7+ years
• Relevant industry experience: 4+ years in plastic product design / Rigid Plastic Packaging (RPP) product design.
• Mandatory hands-on experience in 3D plastic product design and mold design.
• Experience in developing products from concept through design validation and manufacturing is preferred.
• PTC Creo / ProE – Mandatory
• Strong hands-on expertise in 3D modeling and detailed drawing
• Hands-on experience in plastic product design and mold design
• Experience in Rigid Plastic Packaging (RPP) product design
• Strong understanding of design for manufacturing and tooling feasibility
• Good understanding of plastic molding processes and tooling.
• Knowledge of product development and mold feasibility.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently handle multiple design projects and assignments.
• Strong attention to detail and design accuracy.
• Effective communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with R&D, tooling, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Candidates Experience with in Rigid experience Plastic Packaging, in Rigid Plastic Plastic Packaging, Containers, Plastic Closures, Containers, Closures, Preforms, Preforms, Pumps Injection & Dispensers, Molding, Blow Injection Molding, Molding, or Blow related Molding, plastic or product manufacturing will related be preferred. plastic product manufacturing is preferred.
