Database Engineer (4-6 years) – Anaplan IN
We are looking for a Database Reliability Engineer to join our growing team at Anaplan India team. You'll be working in a global environment, supporting the development and maintenance of our hybrid multi-cloud infrastructure.
This role is ideal for someone eager to grow their database automation skills while working on meaningful projects. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers, learning best practices in database architecture, automation, and management.
What you will do:
Support MySQL, Postgres, MS SQL Server across our multi-tenant platform:
- Perform routine DBA maintenance
- Partner with Support and engineering on tenant operations (cloning, restore, access) and on query and stored procedure optimisations
- Schema, query, sizing/resource reviews for new services on the Anaplan platform
- Work on the application and database modernisation roadmap, migrating to integrating with containerised service.
What we’re looking for:
- DBA experience with MySQL or Postgres
- Understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and ideally containerized databases
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- BSc degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Experience (Nice to have):
- MS SQL/Azure SQL databases
- Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure)
- Experience with PowerShell and T-SQL
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps
- Exposure to monitoring tools like Grafana or Prometheus.
- Understanding of automation tools such as Terraform.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins).
