Position Title-Engineer-Mechanical Design

Skill sets needed:
· Experience: professional experience in CAD design, preferably within the Engine or heavy machinery industry.
· Software Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in PTC Creo (or similar parametric CAD software). Knowledge of Windchill for data management is essential.
· Technical Knowledge: Foundational knowledge of internal combustion engine components and their functions. Additional knowledge of Sheet metal components.
· Design Skills: Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application in mechanical design.
· Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Job description/ roles & responsibilities –
· Design/ modelling in detail several of engine components (e.g., pistons, crankshafts, cylinder blocks) using PTC Creo software.
· Design/modelling knowledge in Sheet metal products (Canopy, control panel etc.)
· Create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings in compliance with engineering standards, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T).
· Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet all technical and manufacturability requirements.
· Manage and control product data, drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs) using the
Windchill Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
· Participate in design reviews and provide technical feedback to optimize component design for performance, cost, and reliability.
· Conduct basic engineering calculations and simulations (e.g., clearance checks, interference analysis) within the CAD environment to validate designs.
· Maintain accurate documentation and revision control for all CAD models and drawings.
