About the role
The applicant should hold a Diploma or Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering and have a minimum 05 years of experience in Quality Control, with strong practical knowledge of fabrication, machining, and inspection processes. Required Competencies: Strong process knowledge of fabrication and machining, including stage-wise and final inspection activities. Hands-on experience in precision dimensional measurement and the use of measuring instruments. Sound knowledge of ASME codes, including Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR). Good understanding of engineering materials & its specifications. ASNT Level II certification in NDT techniques such as VT, UT, MT, and PT. Experience in preparing and reviewing Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs), inspection protocols, check sheets, and Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) requirements. Experience as an internal auditor for ISO 9001- Quality Management Systems. Good communication, coordination, and teamwork skills. Knowledge of steam turbine and generator components. Knowledge of problem-solving and investigative techniques including GOF, RCA, LFF, 3H, Pareto analysis, and other quality tools. Ability to manage customer and third-party inspections, coordinate quality requirements, and effectively address customer concerns.
