About the role
We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager (Python) to lead high-performing engineering teams and drive the design and development of scalable, high-impact systems. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership, and product mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and scale a team of software engineers.
- Drive architecture, design, and development of scalable backend systems using Python.
- Collaborate with product, design, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Ensure best practices in coding, system design, and performance optimization.
- Own project delivery, timelines, and technical decision-making.
- Conduct code reviews, design discussions, and technical mentoring.
- Improve engineering processes, CI/CD pipelines, and overall productivity.
Requirements:
- 10-14 years of overall experience with a strong backend development background.
- Proven experience in Python (Django / Flask / FastAPI).
- Hands-on experience in system design and scalable architecture.
- Strong leadership experience (team handling, mentoring, hiring).
- Experience with REST APIs and microservices architecture.
- Solid understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Good to Have:
- Experience in high-scale product-based companies.
- Knowledge of distributed systems and event-driven architecture.
- Exposure to DevOps practices, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
