Responsibilities
- Teach English and History to grades 6-10
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and intellectual curiosity
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve curriculum goals
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school events
- Maintain a well-organized and inclusive classroom environment
RequirementsRequirements:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in English, History, or Education
- 3+ years of teaching experience (grades 6-10)
- Strong knowledge of English literature and History curricula
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills
- Ability to adapt to diverse learning styles
- Familiarity with teaching methodologies and technology integration
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching certification (e.g., B.Ed., CTET)
- Experience with international curricula (e.g., IGCSE, CBSE, ICSE)
- Familiarity with educational technology (e.g., digital whiteboards, learning management systems)
- Previous experience in a similar school setting
