Job Title: ETL Test Engineer (SQL & Python)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical ETL Test Engineer with strong expertise in SQL and Python to join our data engineering and QA team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing data pipelines, validating data transformations, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data across multiple systems.

• Design, develop, and execute ETL test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and technical requirements.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure accuracy of ETL processes.
• Write complex SQL queries to validate source-to-target data mapping and transformation rules.
• Develop Python scripts to automate ETL testing processes and validation checks.
• Work closely with Data Engineers, Analysts, and QA team members to identify and resolve data quality issues.
• Conduct end-to-end, regression, and performance testing of data pipelines and integrations.
• Log, track, and manage defects using tools like JIRA or equivalent.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Maintain comprehensive test documentation and contribute to QA best practices.

• experience in ETL/data warehouse testing.
• Strong proficiency in SQL (complex joins, aggregations, window functions, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with Python for test automation or data validation.
• Experience working with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or custom pipelines.
• Understanding of data modeling, data lakes, and data warehousing concepts.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control systems like Git.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, Azure Data Factory, Google BigQuery, Snowflake).
• Exposure to test automation frameworks (e.g., PyTest, Robot Framework).
• Knowledge of Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
• ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.
