About the role
Operate and monitor high-pressure and low-pressure boiler systems.
• Perform regular inspection, maintenance, and cleaning of boilers and auxiliary equipment (e.g., pumps, valves, feedwater systems).
• Maintain optimal operating parameters by monitoring gauges, meters, and control systems.
• Follow safety and environmental regulations in accordance with boiler codes and company policies.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot boiler malfunctions, and coordinate repairs with maintenance teams.
• Maintain detailed logs of operating conditions, maintenance actions, and safety inspections.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory standards (e.g., IBR, ASME, OSHA).
• Assist in boiler start-up and shut-down procedures.
• Participate in emergency response situations related to boiler systems.
• Sound mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Familiarity with DCS/SCADA systems for boiler control.
• Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and P&IDs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
