About the role
- Utilize process safety engineering expertise to achieve project
objectives and support continuous improvement in safety performance and design
quality.
- Ensure adherence to QA procedures, engineering work instructions and
project specific safety quality requirements.
-Interface with clients, consultants, EPC contractors, vendors, and
regulatory authorities.
-Interface with other engineering disciplines and provide guidance on
technical safety related decisions during project execution.
-Guide engineers in preparing process safety related documents and provide
technical recommendations for improvements.
-Identify discipline training needs and skill development requirements
based on project/organizational goals.
-Review/interpret third party studies, specifications and safety equipment
data sheets to ensure conformance with codes, standards and client requirements
and implement applicable recommendations into process safety engineering
deliverables.
-Participate in layout development and 3D model
reviews to ensure optimal placement of safety equipment and safe escape,
evacuation and rescue provisions.
-Actively participate in third party HAZID/HAZOP/SIL/LOPA/ALARP workshops,
other process safety reviews and prepare closeout reports.
-Have knowledge of industry developments, relevant local regulatory
requirements, international/local codes and standards such as API/NFPA/IEC/ISO/IP/OISD
and Client specifications, other Process Safety standards, best practices and apply
accordingly to the project.
