About the role
We are looking for a Forward Deployment Engineer who can combine strong backend engineering skills with practical AI/GenAI implementation. The role will involve working closely with business/product stakeholders and deploying technology solutions into real-world workflows. The ideal candidate is hands-on, comfortable with ambiguity, strong in Java or Node.js, and able to integrate and productionize AI capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with product, business and other stakeholders to understand technical requirements and translate them into deployable solutions.
- Design, develop and maintain backend services using Java/Spring Boot or Node.js .
- Build and integrate REST APIs, microservices and third-party services.
- Integrate LLM/GenAI capabilities into customer and business workflows.
- Develop or integrate RAG, AI agents, prompt-based workflows and LLM APIs where applicable.
- Own solution deployment, integration, testing, debugging and production rollout.
- Troubleshoot production issues and drive solutions from problem discovery through implementation.
- Work with engineering/product teams to feed deployment learnings back into scalable product improvements.
- Collaborate with customers or customer-facing teams when required to customise and deploy solutions.
- Maintain high standards for reliability, security, observability and code quality.
