About the role
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
- Develop production-grade applications using Python.
- Work on backend architecture, system design, databases, and integrations.
- Build new features and products from 0 to 1
- Collaborate closely with founders, product, and engineering teams.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Debug performance and production issues and continuously improve system reliability.
- Take end-to-end ownership of features from design and development to deployment.
- Contribute to technical decisions and help shape the engineering culture as an early team member.
Requirements:
- 2-4 years of backend engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python.
- Experience building REST APIs / backend services.
- Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
- Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL / MySQL / MongoDB.
- Understanding of cloud platforms, Docker, CI/CD, and deployment.
- Good understanding of scalable and reliable backend systems.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership.
