About the role
The core requirements for the job include the following:
Technical Skills:
- Strong experience in backend development with Go / Java / Node.js (at least 2 of these deeply).
- Strong frontend expertise with React.js (hooks, state management, performance optimisation).
- Experience with microservices architecture, REST / GraphQL APIs, and distributed systems design.
- Cloud platforms: AWS / Azure / GCP.
- DevOps tools: CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI), Docker and Kubernetes, Terraform (IaC).
Engineering Practices:
- Test-driven development (TDD).
- Clean architecture and design patterns.
- Secure coding practices.
- Observability and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc. )
Leadership and Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and system design skills.
- Ability to influence without authority.
- Experience mentoring and growing engineers.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related field.
- 10-15+ years of engineering experience.
- Experience in staff/principal/lead engineer roles.
