The General Manager – Project Operations will be responsible for leading and managing the execution of multiple construction projects across the organization. The role focuses on ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards. The incumbent will drive operational excellence, optimize project performance, manage project risks, and lead cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

• Lead end-to-end execution of multiple residential, commercial, township, retail, hospitality, and mixed-use projects.
• Develop and implement project execution strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Ensure timely delivery of projects while maintaining quality, safety, and profitability.
• Drive operational excellence and continuous process improvement across projects.

• Monitor project schedules, milestones, and critical deliverables.
• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, equipment, and construction materials.
• Resolve project execution challenges and remove operational bottlenecks.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Teams, Consultants, and Functional Heads.

• Monitor project budgets, cost performance, and cash flows.
• Review billing progress and overall project profitability.
• Implement cost optimization and value engineering initiatives.
• Control project overruns through proactive planning and monitoring.

• Ensure adherence to Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) standards.
• Implement Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies across project sites.
• Promote a zero-accident culture and statutory compliance.
• Conduct regular quality and safety audits.

• Review project contracts and ensure contractual compliance.
• Coordinate with Legal, Procurement, and Commercial teams.
• Manage contractual risks, claims, and dispute resolution.
• Evaluate contractor and subcontractor performance.

• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, architects, government authorities, and internal stakeholders.
• Conduct periodic project review meetings.
• Ensure effective communication and escalation management.

• Lead and mentor Project Managers, Construction Heads, Functional Managers, and site teams.
• Build a high-performance culture through coaching and performance management.
• Coordinate with HR for manpower planning and capability development.

• Develop project dashboards and management reports.
• Monitor key project KPIs and operational metrics.
• Present project performance updates to senior leadership.
• Drive corrective actions to improve project outcomes.

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Mandatory).
• M.Tech or MBA (Project Management) preferred.
• PMP and/or Primavera P6 Certification will be an added advantage.

• 20–25 years of experience in Project Operations within the Real Estate or Construction industry.
• Minimum 8–10 years in a senior leadership role managing multiple large-scale projects.
• Experience in residential high-rise, commercial, township, retail, hospitality, or mixed-use developments is essential.

• Experience working with reputed real estate developers is highly preferred.
