• Conduct thorough physical inspection and verification of gold items submitted as collateral for loan processing, ensuring authenticity and purity.
• Evaluate the market value of gold assets using standardized appraisal methods and current market rates to determine loan eligibility and amount.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of gold market trends, pricing fluctuations, and regulatory guidelines affecting gold loan operations.
• Prepare detailed appraisal reports and documentation to support loan sanctioning and audit requirements.
• Collaborate with the credit and risk management teams to provide accurate asset valuations that inform lending decisions and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with all internal policies and external regulatory requirements related to gold appraisal and loan processing.
• Manage and maintain the security and proper handling of gold items during the appraisal process to prevent loss or damage.
• Train and mentor junior staff on gold appraisal techniques, quality standards, and operational procedures.
• Participate in periodic audits and inspections to validate appraisal accuracy and adherence to compliance standards.
