About the role
We are hiring a Head of Engineering for a leading product-based company. The ideal candidate should have a strong backend engineering background in Java or Python and hands-on experience with Generative AI, Agentic AI, RAG, and AI/MLWe are specifically looking for someone who is currently working as an Individual Contributor (IC) while driving technical excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Lead engineering strategy, architecture, and product delivery.
- Build scalable AI-powered platforms and backend systems.
- Drive GenAI, Agentic AI, and RAG-based initiatives.
- Stay hands-on with system design, architecture, and code reviews.
- Mentor engineering teams and foster engineering excellence.
- Collaborate with Product, Data, and Business teams.
Requirements:
- 13-16 years of experience in a product-based company.
- Strong expertise in Java or Python.
- Hands-on experience with GenAI, Agentic AI, RAG, AI/ML, and LLMs.
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud platforms.
- Excellent system design and leadership skills.
- Must currently be working as an Individual Contributor (IC).
