• Solid knowledge of cost allocation mechanisms
• Ability to navigate data models using Ad Hoc analyses in Smart View to identify likely causes of discrepancies
• Able to support the client during the budgeting phase and in management reporting
ESSBASE Application Skills
• Creation of an application/cube in ESSBASE
• Design, creation, and management of the data model: outline repository administration via the web interface and cube designer in Smart View
• Dimension building using rules
• Data loading using rules in ESSBASE
• Management of substitution variables and prompts
• Creation of simple calculation scripts: aggregation, data clearing, scenario initialization, data copying between scenarios, member formulas
• Creation of complex calculation scripts: specific business needs, cost allocation rules
• Security management in ESSBASE
