About the role
- Strong hands-on experience in IBM COOLGEN (also known as IEF - Integrated Engineering Facility) application development and maintenance.
- Experience programming in IBM mainframe COBOL, DB2
- Experience with model-driven development, including data models, procedure logic, action diagrams, screen/dialog design and code generation.
- Experience in data transfer and interface methodologies between mainframes and mainframes to servers in a statewide environment
- Ability to develop and support online and batch applications in mainframe or distributed environments.
- Working knowledge of COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2 and SQL, as applicable to the target application landscape.
- Experience in debugging generated code, analysing abends, resolving data issues and performing impact analysis.
- Knowledge of software configuration, version management, migration, packaging and deployment processes.
