About the role
Bernstein is looking for a India market Cash Equities Sales Trader/dealer with a solid level of local market understanding. The role will collaborate and work closely with the wider India high-touch sales trading team and the regional sales, trading and research teams in the service of Bernstein’s client franchise.
Key Requirements:
Trade Execution Excellence -
Demonstrates ability to manage and execute client orders across market conditions with a solid understanding of algorithmic tools and best execution practices
Familiarity with block and negotiated trade processes in India, including liquidity discovery, market impact considerations and execution coordination
Ability to translate Bernstein's differentiated research into concise, actionable insights that support client engagement and trading opportunities
Build credibility and strong working relationships with institutional investors by providing timely market colour, execution insights and differentiated trading ideas.
Collaboration -
Work closely with local, regional and global sales, trading, research teams to deliver a seamless client experience and maximize franchise value
Partner with sales and trading teams to deepen client relationships and identify opportunities to cross-sell Bernstein, Equity Trading/Program Trading (ET/PT) and broader Société Générale product offering.
Market Intelligence & Understanding -
Strong knowledge of the Indian equity landscape, including sector dynamics, market-moving news, institutional fund flows and corporate developments
Produce quality pre-market and intraday sales trading commentary, highlighting key market themes, stocks in focus, earnings developments, corporate actions and macroeconomic events driving trading activity
Comprehensive understanding of Indian market microstructure, exchange mechanics, trading workflows, settlement processes and regulatory considerations affecting execution outcomes.
Risk, Regulatory Compliance & Integrity -
Maintain the highest standards of risk management, regulatory compliance and adherence to internal policies, procedures and control frameworks
Demonstrate strong ethical judgment, professionalism, and commitment to Bernstein's values, code of conduct and client-first culture.

Graduate
1~3 years+ covering the India cash equities market and domestic buy-side institutions.
