About the RoleWe are seeking a dynamic Investment Intern to support our investment team in fundraising, investor relations, and business development. This role offers hands-on exposure to venture capital fundraising, Series A/B investment processes, and strategic partnership development in the high-growth defense tech and deep tech sectors.
Key Responsibilities●Conduct market research and competitive analysis in the drone technology, defense sector, and deep tech landscape.●Prepare investment memos, due diligence reports, and financial summaries highlighting IG Drones' market position and growth potential.●Support financial modeling and valuation analysis for funding rounds and investor presentations.●Assist in organizing investor meetings, preparing pitch decks, and managing investor communications and follow-ups.●Maintain and update investor tracking databases, CRM systems, and deal pipeline documentation.●Support the creation of investor presentations, term sheets, and investment proposals for Series A/B/C rounds.●Conduct company research on competitor funding, industry trends, and investor thesis in drone and defense sectors.●Assist in organizing investor events, networking sessions, and industry conferences related to defense and deep tech.●Support due diligence processes including cap table analysis, regulatory compliance checks, and IP assessment.●Research and identify potential investors (VCs, family offices, strategic investors) aligned with IG Drones' sector and growth stage.●Support the investment committee and CEO with analytical and administrative tasks.
Ideal Candidate ProfileEducation:●Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (BBA) or currently pursuing final year●Specialization in Finance, Economics, or Business Management preferredSkills & Competencies:●Strong financial modeling and Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, scenario analysis)●Excellent written and verbal communication abilities●Analytical mindset with attention to detail●Quick learner with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously●Familiarity with investment banking concepts (DCF, cap tables, valuations)●Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, and Google Suite●Basic understanding of startup valuations and funding mechanics (pre-money, post-money, dilution)Experience & Knowledge:●Understanding of venture capital, private equity, or startup ecosystem (ideal)●Prior internship or project work in finance, business development, or investment banking●Knowledge of financial statements and basic valuation methods●Strong interest in defense technology, drone industry, or deep tech sectors●Familiarity with India's defense sector and government procurement processes (preferred)●Knowledge of FDI regulations and defense sector compliance (preferred)Personal Attributes:●Proactive and self-motivated approach●Strong organizational and time management skills●Collaborative team player with problem-solving abilities●Professional communication and presentation skills●Willingness to take ownership and learn quickly●Genuine passion for drone technology and India's defense innovation
