About the role
We are looking for a skilled Java Backend Developer with hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, and AWS cloud services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting scalable Java-based applications while leveraging AWS cloud infrastructure and services. The candidate should have strong knowledge of backend development, database design, SQL queries, REST API development, and cloud-based application deployment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Design, develop, and optimise PostgreSQL databases.
- Write complex SQL queries, joins, stored procedures, and database functions.
- Implement database schemas, indexing, and query performance optimisation.
- Develop and deploy applications using AWS cloud services.
- Work with AWS services such as ECS, Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, and API Gateway.
- Support application deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and production issues.
- Ensure application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver quality software solutions.
